A menu item — more than a name and a price

The basics are a name, description, price, currency and group. Beyond that, every item has three things that are easy to miss:

Photo gallery — several images per item, with built-in cropping (zoom, rotate). The first photo is the cover, and the order is changed by dragging the thumbnails. The panel suggests a 4:3 ratio and a size up to 1 MB (the hard limit is 10 MB), then crops and compresses it itself.
Recipe (ingredients) — you pick ingredients from the product catalogue of the Inventory module and enter quantities. From that, the panel calculates the ingredient cost plus the pour cost and pour cost as a percentage — that is, the share of raw-material cost in the sale price. This is where the menu and inventory actually meet.
Preparation instructions — numbered steps, each with its content, an optional tip and a photo; the order is changed by dragging. Staff open this as a separate "How to prepare" view. Practical when training someone new behind the bar.

There is also a "Feature in playlist ticker" checkbox. It's worth knowing exactly what it does: this is not a general "highlight in the menu", but adding the item to the rotation in the ticker that scrolls next to upcoming events. If you expect it to highlight the item on the menu card, nothing of the sort will happen.
